Subject: Rosemount 1150 Series Pressure Transmitter Discontinuance Update and Availability of the Entire
Rosemount 3150N Series of Nuclear Pressure Transmitters
Dear Valued Customer,
As an update to the multi-phased discontinuance of the Rosemount 1150 Series of nuclear pressure
transmitters, Rosemount Nuclear Instruments, Inc. (RNII) is pleased to announce the completion of the
IEEE Std 323 & 344 qualification for the Rosemount 3159 remote diaphragm seal system. The
Rosemount 3159 remote diaphragm seal system is now qualified and available for use with any of
the fully analog 3150N series of qualified pressure transmitters. The improved Rosemount 3159
replaces the soon to be discontinued 1159 remote diaphragm seal system and enables measurements in
higher pressure and temperature applications on all major reactor designs.
The table below provides a summary of the Rosemount 3150N Series qualification documentation and
product literature including the Rosemount 3159, which are available upon request. For convenience, a
listing of transition resources is included in Appendix A. Learn more about the 100% analog Rosemount
3150N Series of nuclear qualified pressure transmitters at www.RosemountNuclear.com.

The entire 3150N Series offering of IEEE Std 323 & 344 qualified pressure transmitters is now available
and will replace the soon to be discontinued Rosemount 1150 Series product line as outlined in the
updated transition schedule on page 2. For customers requiring KTA qualification, 3152K and 3154K are
qualified and available for consideration today. Please note the following transition milestones &
announcements:




As of April 30, 2014, the Rosemount 1152 N (4-20mA output) pressure transmitter was
discontinued and orders are no longer being accepted.
A 10-50mA output option is not currently offered with the Rosemount 3150 Series of pressure
transmitters. The 1152 L (10-50mA output) will continue to be available through April, 2015.
Final orders for the remaining Rosemount 1150 series pressure transmitters will continue to be
accepted (subject to parts availability) through April 2015.
Orders are no longer being accepted for range 3 (0-30in H2O) 1153 pressure transmitter models.

Note 2:
= Last quotation date for Rosemount 1150 Series product.
Note 3: Timing of discontinuance is subject to parts availability. RNII reserves the right to limit order quantities and
shipments during the transition period as necessary to best serve all users.
Note 4: Range 3 (0-30 inH2O) transmitters are no longer available for order for 1153B & 1153D models.
As the remaining dates for the1150 series product discontinuance draw near, it is important to reiterate
that RNII is discontinuing the Rosemount 1150 Series due to a growing number of obsolete electrical and
mechanical components. For these reasons, RNII will continue to discourage last-time-buying behavior
and reserves the right to restrict Rosemount 1150 Series order quantities as needed to best serve all
customers.
Rosemount’s 40+ year commitment to the nuclear industry remains strong and we will continue to provide
the quality products and support you have come to expect. Thank you for allowing Rosemount Nuclear
and Emerson Process Management to continue to serve you now and in the future.
