Forum I “Stubble – Pests, Disease and Weeds”
Aim
This forum aims to examine the benefits and problems associated with stubble from the
previous crop, focussing on pests, disease and weed management. It will identify areas of
concern to farmers and direct future research and extension by the Graham Centre.
Conduct
The forum involves a panel represented by growers and researchers. The panel will be
supported by a range of industry experts located amongst the wider audience.
The forum will commence with three speakers discussing their experiences, research,
challenges and successes. The facilitator will then lead discussion using questions from both
the audience and those collected earlier as a result of open consultation with all sectors –
farmers, farming groups, consultants, research and advisory, educators and industry
organisations.
The discussion will be recorded and reported.
Forum II “Livestock and the Feedbase”
Aim
This forum aims to examine present issues and knowledge concerning animal health and
grazing pastures and crops. It will identify areas of concern to farmers and direct future
research and extension by the Graham Centre.
Conduct
