Greg Watson did his undergraduate studies and honours at the University of Canterbury, co-editing “Securing a Peaceful
Pacific” with Professor John Henderson in 2005. Following this, he gained entry to the University of Tehran where he
learned Persian and studied International Relations between 2005 and 2008. This talk will focus on the circumstances in
which he came to be in Iran, his experiences and ways of living as a New Zealander in a country under the blowtorch of
intense international scrutiny.
