SUMMARY OF RESULTS This summary d e s c r i b e s t h e r e s u l t s c Itained from a temperature g r a d i e n t survey of t h e San Emidio wells d r i l l e d i n Washoe County, Nevada. The temperature g r a d i e n t survey w a s performed during t h e month o f July, 1976, by Geonomics, I n c . , for t h e Chevron O i l Company. The approximate l o c a t i o n o f t h e survey is shown i n Figure 1. A t o t a l of two h o l e s were d r i l l e d (S.E. #A and S.E. #B) w i t h l o c a t i o n s p l o t t e d on Figure 2. Logging o p e r a t i o n s , which c o n s i s t e d of rock sampling and temperature-depth determinations, were undertaken by Geonomics, I n c . w i t h d a t a being presented i n the following appendices : -- Appendix I D r i l l i n g Operations Log f o r each Hole Appendix 11 Sample I d e n t i f i c a t i o n from each Hole Appendix 111- F i e l d Observed Temperature from each Hole . Both o f t h e San Emidio h o l e s were d r i l l e d in a l l u v i a l f i l l surrounded by relatively f l a t terrain; t h e r e f o r e , no t e r r a i n c o r r e c t i o n s w e r e made on t h e temperature d a t a and the thermal g r a d i e n t s remain uncorrected. A core w a s taken from S.E. #B, b u t due t o t h e sedimentary c h a r a c t e r of the area and sample, no c o n d u c t i v i t y o r d e n s i t y determinations were c a r r i e d o u t , and, t h e r e f o r e , no h e a t flow is c a l c u l a t e d f o r t h i s a r e a .
