Roxar downhole Gauge Carrier
Roxar designs, engineers and manufactures a suite of
gauge carriers tailored specifically for Roxar's own portfolio
of downhole pressure & temperature sensors.
The gauge carrier can be configured to support inter-zonal
monitoring as well as single or multi-gauge configurations for
redundancy, or tubing and annulus pressure measurement.
The carrier serves to accommodate Roxar's range of
downhole sensors as an integrated element of the well
completion string.
The gauge mandrel can support control-line bypass for
applications requiring chemical injection or intelligent well
configurations where hydraulic lines are required deeper
in the completion.
Carriers are machined from a single, non-welded billet
of metal and can be specified to be integrated with the
tubing sizes, materials and connections supplied by all
major manufacturers.
The carrier is designed and machined to maintain a full
bore flow path with the same inner diameter as the
production tubing. This full bore internal diameter ensures
that the carrier does not affect the flow of hydrocarbons
making the gauge a non intrusive measurement device.
Gauge mounting is achieved against a flat seat surface
utilising a double metal to metal c-seal configuration
between the gauge and the carrier.
The integrity of this sealing method is ascertained on
the rig floor by means of an external pressure test which
eliminates the need for time-consuming pressurisation of
the completion string.
The Roxar Gauge Carrier may be supplied with integral
bumper wire anchor, eliminating the need for a separate
anchor sub.
