FROM THE DIRECTOR
In approaching The Trojan Women, I was drawn immediately to the sense
of resiliency the women embody throughout the action of the play. We live
in a world where great violence and desperation exists, not all too unlike
the happenings in Troy. It’s a world where community, hope, empathy,
compassion and understanding between fellow humans are paramount, yet
not so readily available. I chose to direct this production in the immersive
style because I wanted to utilize the tangible and perceptive senses of
both audience and actors to make more meaningful connections though
the unique experience. This vision would not be possible without all the
support of those involved and I am incredibly grateful to each and every
person. Thank you for your support this evening and welcome to Troy.
