Tank data is measured by Tank Gauge Units (TGU 53), processed and transferred to the Supply & Communications Unit (SCU) that acts as the connection hub where the data is further processed and made available for clients. There is also a service and backup touch screen display each for the Primary CTS and the optional Secondary CTS. Full separation of power, hardware, functionality and communication within a Primary and Secondary CTS cabinet Rosemount® CTS - SCU 51 February 2013 Cabinet for Deck Communication Rosemount® CTS - SCU 51 February 2013 Technical Data - Supply and Communication Unit (SCU) The Supply and Communications Unit (SCU) is the central cabinet for connection of the deck devices in a Rosemount® CTS system. All the information from the Tank Gauge Units (TGU) on the deck goes through the SCU, and a touch screen display provides a possibility to monitor tank data and perform service tasks in case the Workstation is unavailable. A Rosemount® CTS SCU cabinet can handle up to 17 tanks. The cabinet comes in one standard size regardless of if the system is a Primary CTS only system or a combined Primary plus Secondary CTS system. This means that systems with only one Primary CTS measuring channel have a single SCD installed in the SCU, while dual channel, Primary and Secondary, CTS systems have two SCD.
