Important information about the cargo level gauging system Saab SUM-21.
The cargo level gauging system Saab SUM-21 was developed around 1976.
Today it becomes more and more difficult to source components required to manufacture spare
parts and to service the system.
This means that we no longer can guarantee that it will be possible to deliver spare parts and
service in the future.
During 2011 we will continue to supply service and spare parts as long as stock is available.
Based on the information above we will from 2012 further reduce the support of the SUM-21
system. From 2014 we will cease to supply spares and service for the SUM-21 system.
We are very much aware of how important the cargo level gauging system is for the operation of
the ships and want to do our best to keep the customers ships in a safe and well working condition.
