SaabTankRadar - End of life status in 2016
The Cargo Monitoring and Control system “Saab TankRadar” (TRM) was
produced from 1984 to 1994. The design is based on technology from the
beginning of the 1980-ies and it is today difficult to produce, repair and
make service on included parts. Most spare parts are still available but the
number of parts and included components is rapidly decreasing.
Therefore we will continue to support TankRadar until the end of 2015.
However, from January 2016 we will not be able to support those systems
anymore and their status wil be end of life.
Do you plan to operate your ship for many years?
In order to get a clear overview on what components to change and what
to reuse, we suggest an onboard survey. This survey can determine the
specific conditions for your ship and give us the possibility to provide you
with a detailed offer, taking possible reuse of existing cables, deck sockets
etc. into consideration. We will gladly offer you our present generation of
Cargo Monitoring System, Rosemount CMS. For further information see

Is the remaining operation time for the vessel short?
We recommend you to do a system overhaul and we can assist you
defining a set of useful spare parts that will increase the possibilities for a
good function until the ship will be taken out of operation.
