SaabTankRadar G3 with MaC Substation end of life status 2016
The Cargo Monitoring and Control system “Saab TankRadar G3” with “Saab
MaC SubStation” was produced between 1994 and 2000. The design of the
SubStation is however based on a technology from the beginning of the 1980ies and it is today difficult to produce, repair and make service on included
parts. Most spare parts are still available but the number is rapidly decreasing.
Therefore we will continue to support Mac Substation until the end of 2015.
However, from January 2016 we will not be able to support those systems
anymore and their status wil be end of life.
Do you plan to operate your ship for many years?
In order to get a clear overview on what components to change and what to
reuse, we suggest an onboard survey. This survey can determine the specific
conditions for your ship and give us the possibility to provide you with a
detailed offer, taking possible reuse of existing cables, deck sockets etc. into
consideration.
We will gladly offer you our replacement equipment that fits into the same
cabinet as the present electronics. We can of course also offer the present
generation of Integrated Control and Monitoring System, APERIO, together
with the Cargo Monitoring System, Rosemount CMS.
Is the remaining operation time for the vessel short?
We recommend you to do a system overhaul and we can assist you defining a
set of useful spare parts that will increase the possibilities for a good function
until the ship will be taken out of operation.
