EDS Mobile
Features
EDS mobile gives users the ability to view EDS
plant data and monitor system processes from a
desktop operating system on a handheld device.
The comprehensive EDS mobile application
enables viewing of current KPI data from
anywhere within the corporate structure while
providing a dynamic view of plant assets
reflecting new functionality, technology features
for the hardware platforms and cybersecurity
provisions.
This mobile application gives executives,
managers, supervisors and engineering
analysts flexibility in managing operations when
they are away from their offices. Detailed key
performance indicators (KPI) data can be
viewed by selecting from the iconic data menu
or in the drill down plant view.
Data Integration
The EDS data gateways retrieve and
synchronize information from multiple sources
including existing EDS servers and other data
sources. The EDS mobile server then manages
the distribution of replicated process values,
alarms and displays to users running the EDS
mobile application.
The collected information collected is presented
in process and read-only plant views, alarm lists
and trends. This one-way data communication
process ensures that operating system data
stays safe and protected.

EDS mobile for iPhone supports native iOS
features and gestures; ‘swiping’ the screen at
the plant view level brings the next unit into view
while ‘dragging’ the screen presents additional
plant KPI data.
EDS mobile is available on the Apple App Store
and for Android devices on the Google Play estore.
EDS mobile offers navigation through a multilevel enterprise hierarchy spread across
different geographic locations. It presents highlevel key process data but also renders technical
point information, live and historical plots, live
alarms, historical events and live graphics on
tablets and iPads.
