STORIFY TUTORIAL
Storify is a tool that can be used to tell a story using social media, or showcase
their own tweets, posts, pictures, and videos all on one page.
1. Log into Storify: https://storify.com/ . Click sign up and sign in by using Facebook,
Twitter, or your email address.
2. Create a new story: The New Story button is located at the top of the screen.

3. Storify will now walk you through giving your story a title, a description, searching for
elements and adding text.
 Enter a headline
 Enter a description
4. On the right side, you have the Search Box where you can do a keywords search in
social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Flicker, YouTube, and Google.

5. Choose which site you want to search under, for example Twitter. Then enter a search
term, for example “digital resumes”. You enter either a hashtag or a keyword/phrase.
6. Drag and drop content from your search into your story timeline, or double clicking the
content. It will appear at the top of your story. Once it is on your timeline, you can
rearrange the order by dragging the post to where you want it.
 When searching Twitter, you may want to exclude retweets, which you can do by
unchecking a box you see just below the search field. This eliminates most
duplicate tweets.
7. You can also click on Insert to either type a reaction to the previous post or to start a
new post in the story.

8. If you would like to include videos, you can change your search to YouTube, and search
as you would for a post from Twitter. Then, as you did earlier, you drag it into your story
or double-click the video, and it will appear at the top of your story.
9. Once you have your story ready, make sure that the draft is saved, by selecting Save. To
publish the story, click on the blue Publish button.

10. Ensure that you have received a success message at the top of your screen.
11. Now, click on My Stories to view your story. At this point, Click on the ellipses icon
and select Share to share your story with your social media followers.
12. You have now successfully published your first Storify.
