Emergency Response Procedures
The attached Emergency Response and Code 3 Standard Operating Procedures will apply for all Bureau
of Land Management emergency response vehicles in California. All State vehicle code laws and
regulations will take precedent over this standard and each vehicle operator will be responsible for
knowing the laws pertaining to their vehicle. Managers and supervisors are responsible for the oversight,
training and implementation of the State vehicle driving requirements and the Emergency Response and
Code 3 Standard Operating Procedures outlined in this document.
