Information On Disclaimers and R.S. 2477
We have attached information concerning R.S. 2477 and the Bureau’s final rule on conveyances, disclaimers,
and correction documents. We will address R.S. 2477 and the disclaimer rule during our State Management
Team Meeting in March 18-20.
The following information will be useful in addressing questions from the public and officials. We recognize
that we do not have all the answers on how the Bureau’s administrative procedures will be fully implemented,
but we do want to support public applications for a “recordable disclaimer of interest.” Questions should be
