There is no registration fee for enrolling in LATN 580, Teaching AP Latin in Secondary
Schools. You do, however, need to apply for graduate study as a non-degree student at
USC (up to $50, depending on your current status). To apply, complete the forms posted
on the Graduate School’s website:
http://app.gradschool.sc.edu/non-degree.asp
If you have further questions about the application and admissions process, you may
contact the Graduate School at 777-4243.
We have anticipated the cost of the AP Latin course bundle and other materials in
applying for the grant. If the cost exceeds expectation, you may be asked to pay a small
fee (less than $50) to cover the cost of materials.
We are working with campus housing to reserve single and double occupancy dorm
rooms (estimated cost ranges from $25-$40 per night). Since we have to guarantee
partial payment for the rooms prior to the dates of the AP Institute, we are trying
our best to book only as many as we will need. Please respond quickly if you will
need a room so that we can reserve more if necessary without overspending.
Once you have completed the form on page 2, please return it no later than April 15,
2012 to USC’s Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures:
