Uninstall Oracle 10.x
We strongly recommend that you uninstall all older versions of Oracle, unless absolutely
necessary to retain them for other applications.
If you didn't do so earlier, copy C:\Oracle\10.2\Client_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\TNSNAMES.ORA to a safe
location like the customer's personal network folder.
Run \\tss-softstore\Software\Oracle\10\Installer\Remove_Oracle_10.2.0.1.bat.
Wait for the command window to disappear.
Wait a long time (up to 20-30 minutes) for process javaw.exe to stop running. You can watch it in the
Windows Task Manager. Once the uninstall process is done, the Oracle menu will disappear from the
Windows Start Menu.
Reboot the computer.
Log on to the computer as a member of the Administrators group.
