planned for the Westchester Campus of Pace
University. Opening in fall of 2015, Alumni Hall is a
four-story residence hall that can accommodate 477
students beds. The 125,000 square foot building
will house residential suites, faculty apartments,
food service, classrooms, and offices. Alumni Hall is
primarily a first-year building with semi-suite living. A
typical suite will house four beds (two per room) and
all four students will share a bathroom.
Alumni Hall will also feature:
• 24-hour security desk on the first floor
• Welcome desk
• Kitchenettes and laundry rooms on each floor
• Portals to connect the wings of the building
• Faculty and staff apartments to enhance a Living
Learning Community
• An additional dining option
• Two flexible classrooms with seating for
18-24 students
• Flexible partition allows classroom to be expanded
to seat up to 48 students
• Seven First Year Interest Group (FIG) themed
lounges and seven study lounges
• Classrooms and lounges will all have state-of-theart technology
Pace University’s Westchester Campus offers
students opportunities to interact with students of
similar interests through First Year Interest Groups
(FIGs)–themed communities in the residence
halls that bring together students with common
interests. Each FIG has a dedicated faculty member
and resident assistant to help program around
the theme and connect students to the University.
Students choose their interest group and are invited
to participate in all FIG programming. In 2013,
82 percent of residential students reported that
they felt more connected to Pace because of their
involvement in FIGs. Additional FIGs will be planned
based on student interest.
Pace offers the following FIGs:
• Setters Leadership House: For students
interested in service and leadership–great for
those looking to get involved on campus.
• Body and Mind: Takes a holistic approach
to a healthy life including yoga sessions,
healthy eating classes, relaxation techniques,
and spiritual development.
