Hello, it’s nice to meet you all through this
article.
First of all I would like to thank Vasavi
College of Engineering for giving me a
choice to grow up in its humble and beautiful
heart, the late Changal Raju sir and all the
lecturers who taught us and made us stronger in
this competitive world, the IT department, our
HOD Vasantha Madam and finally the Nostalgia
team for giving me a platform to share my
experiences at Vasavi.
The college is a place where we can
experiment with things to achieve our dreams.
Try things that nobody can do, even if you fail
you can try until you get it done!!. But once you
get into the industry you will not find time to
experiment. One very special asset to our
department is the mini projects in our curriculum
which will help students to explore and
experiment with new ideas.
Coming to my life at Vasavi, I would
say it was a wonderful and memorable journey. I
made lots of friends, had varied experiences and
finally completed my graduation successfully. It
doesn't matter whether you are a good student or
not but what matters is whether you are
interested in learning something. This would
help us to choose our path in life.
Briefly put, first yearwas spent in seniors
ragging us, assignments, internals, freshers’parties,
exams and good results. What our seniors
suggested was-“if you manage to get a good score
in the first year you could get a good start for the
next three years without much difficulty and be
able to maintain the same average.” I was not good
at communicating in English but I was technically
sound. I would like to thank Jacqueline madam for
the great support she showed in improving my
communication skills.
Come second year, we became seniors.
Everyone was waiting for the juniors to join the
college but there were anti-ragging teams
everywhere because of the strict implementation
of anti-ragging rules within and outside the
campus and because of the sudden increase in
workload we never found time too. The class was
divided into groups and everybody was in some
friend circle or the other. I later understood that it
is always essential for the class to stay together.
Final year was spent in being busy with
interviews, internships, GATE and CAT. I finally
finished my graduation to extend my name with
two letters B.E and thanked my parents for their
great support. I miss those college days and the
college.
Now in the software industry, the basic
thing I learnt here is planning and time
management. Mistakes will help us become
stronger and achieve perfection. I wish you all
