University Ranks
Students of 2011 passed has performed exceptionally at the
external examinations and were successful to bag out a total of 7 (1, 2,
4, 5, 6, 7, 9) University Ranks in top Ten number.
Workshop
A Workshop on “Network Security” was conducted by CSE
Dept,VCE in association with School of IT, Deaking University,
Australia on Jun 29th 2011 for the students of BE 3/4 CSE.
Students Achievements
V.Jyothirmayee & G.Rekha of 2/4 CSE A has Participated and
secured 1st Place in Code Fascimille at Osmania University Mar
26th ,2011.
V.Phaneendra & P.Sai Kiran of 2/4 CSE A had Participated and
secured 2nd place in IT Quiz at Osmania University Mar 26th ,2011.
Seminar / Guest Lectures
A Guest Lecture on “Cloud computing” was delivered by Vishnu
Prasanth, Senior Manager, CSC at Ramanujan Block, Vasavi college of
engineering organized on March 26th 2011 for the students of 4/4
CSE
A Seminar on “Process Management and Product Development” was
delivered by K.L. Raju Kanchubotla, Logic Design limited ,conducted
at VCE on March 29th 2011 for the students of 3/4 CSE.
A Orientation Program on Campus connect Foundation Programme
was organized by VCE on Feb 2nd ,2011 in association with Infosys
Technologies Hyderabad at Taramathi Baradari Auditorium for B.E.
3/4 & 4/4 Infosys Selected students. The session was hosted by Mr.
T. Bhanu Prasad, E&R Dept., Infosys, Hyderabad.
A Guest Lecture on preparing for career was delivered by Ms. Amy
Edwards, Sr. Manager, Deloite Consulting Ltd., Hyderabad conducted
on Feb 18th 2011 in seminar hall ,VCE for the students of BE 3/4 CSE.

A Session on “Experiences at Microsoft internship program”
was delivered by Microsoft internship selected students Preethi
lahoti, Rahul kumar,Divya & Ritesh of BE 3/4 CSE for the students
of 2/4 CSE A on Mar 31st ,2011.
Placements
Department of computer science conducted Infosys Campus connect Foundation Programme
during Jan 29th 2011 to May 2nd 2011 for 103 Infosys selected students.
Students of 3/4 CSE has under gone pre-placement(student development program) by Globarena
Technologies, Hyderabad organized by VCE in college campus during June 13th - 8th July,2011.
7 students were through the Microsoft India Ltd placement process held during Jan 19th- Jan 20th
2011
02 students were through the Kony Labs IT Services Pvt. Ltd placement process held on Jan 05th,
2011.
01 student was through Patni Computer Systems Ltd placement process held on Jan 07th 2011.
01 student was through Zensar Technologies Ltd placement process held on Jan 07th 2011.
05 students were through the iGATE Global Solutions placement process held on Jan 17th, 2011.
01 student was through Intergraph Consulting Pvt. Ltd placement process held on jan 17th 2011.
07 students were through the Computer Sciences Corporate placement process held on Jan 31st,
2011.
06 students were through the ADP Private Limited placement process held during Feb 01st - Feb
02nd 2011.
Student was through M/S Franklin Templeton placement process held on jan 17th 2011.
Extracurricular Activities
k. Jeevan Kumar of 4/4 CSE has secured 2nd Prize in Table Tennis conducted in Ap Inter Engineering
Sports Meet-2010-held at CBIT.
k. Jeevan Kumar of 4/4 CSE has secured 1st Prize in Table Tennis (singles) conducted at VCE campus
Hyderabad.
k. Jeevan Kumar of 4/4 CSE has secured 1st prize in Table Tennis (Doubles) conducted at VCE
campus Hyderabad.
k. Jeevan Kumar of 4/4 CSE has secured 3st prize in Table Tennis conducted under E-Week at VCE
campus Hyderabad.

Department of Computer Science
and Engineering has organized an
annual
Technical
Fest
tilted
“Acumen’11” organized during March
4th -5th 2011.
It has provided a platform for
students to exhibit their technical skills
and innovative ideas. Technical fest are
all about learning, updating and having a
practical experience of various technical
concepts.
It is the platform which provides place for the
people from different areas of expertise to share their
innovative idea.
Events like Paper Presentation, online
programming contest, video presentation, spin the
web, use your utilities, Techathlon, projectXpo, Tech
tambola, Tech debate, photo theming, Online
Treasure Hunt, Workshops, Lan-Gamming, CPUAssembling & many more spot events were
conducted.
Experts from M/S Microsoft India visited our college and organized workshop on cloud computing
and Windows 7 Mobile Apps which was a special event and many students found it interesting.
Around 800 registrations were recorded, was given to winners of the event.
The success of Acumen-11 goes to management, principal for their timely suggestions, students &
Volunteers for organizing the event, and Carsonics, CSI, Honda, and Vodafone for sponsoring the
prestigious event , to all the Faculty members and Student Coordinators for taking a lead in making this
program great success.

The activities under professional body (computer society of india ) are undertaken by the
experts from CSI professional body members and CSI student members with the intention to fill
the gap between the academics and industries approaches towards the development needs in
markets trends.
The following activities were organized for all the 4 years students by keeping the
capability and needs of students in to consideration as per the industry trends.
Seminar on “ Project Management & Product

M/S Logic Design Limited CSI Hyderabad for
students of 3/4 CSE on 29th Mar,2011.
With the strong intension to share the importance
and demand of programming skills in the
dynamically changing trends in technology market
a Motivational Talk on ‘Development of
Programming Skills’ was conducted by Mr.Mohit
Agarwal & S. Venkatesh of 4th year CSE on Mar
6th 2011 for the students of 3rd year CSE.
A Seminar on ‘Network Management was
conducted by Ms.Mallika, from Wipro,
Hyderabad on Mar 5th ,2011.
Workshop on ‘system assembling’ organized
by team of CSI student members of 4th year
CSE students in order to give the hand on
experience on system assembly for 1st year
CSE students on Feb 8th,2011.
Technical quiz was organized by the team of
CSI students chapter of 4th year CSE for
students of 3rd year CSE on Feb 26th ,2011.
