and secured 1st place in the “programming Contest” at “shaastra 2011’
IIT Madras conducted during Sept 28th – Oct 2nd ,2011.

A total of 12 students 9 from 4/4 CSE and 3 from 3/4 CSE
were offered internship by CSC Hyderabad on Oct 13th,
2011.
A total of 6 Student from 3/4 CSE were offered Internships
by Microsoft Pvt Lmtd on Oct 17th, 2011.As part of
internship student

Students Best Project Award
The project titled “ Hierarchical Text Classification” by
Manikanth k, Mohit Kumar,Swamy Venkatesh under the
guidance of Dr.T. Adilakshmi CSE,HOD was nominated for first
best project work carried out in the academic year 2010-2011.
The project titled “construction of Hierarchical Schedule in
Grid Computing” by R Nagendra, N Subramanyeshwara
Swamy, V.Vinay Kumar Reddy under the guidance of K.Ram
Mohan Rao, Assot Prof CSE, Dept was nominated for the
second best project work carried out in the academic year
2010-2011.

2011 for 4/4 CSE students.

Alumni Activity
A Guest Lecture on “ Profile Building and Career Guidance “ was delivered by Aditya Lanka
Director of Conduria Alumni of 2004,pursed masters in management from IIM Calcutta, on Jul
27th ,2011 for the students of 3/4 CSE.
A session on the “Saroja Rajanna Scholarship program” was organized on Oct 18th ,2011 by the
Alumnus of CSE 2005 passed out in seminar hall ramanajun block ,VCE for the 2/4 students of
all the branches.
A Guest lecture on “ Flex” was delivered on Nov 12th ,2011 by Alumnus of CSE 2010 Passed out
in seminar hall, VCE for the target audience of 3/4 CSE Student.

Alumni Meet 2011
Department of Computer science
organized a Alumni Meet in the VCE
college Campus and a total of 37
members has turned up from 2005
to 2011 batch.
The objective of Alumni Meet was to
deliver the importance of the registration
into the Alumni web Portal and pass on the
same to other network friends of VCE.
Alumni web Portal was designed and
developed exclusive for VCE Alumni so as to
update them with the activities at VCE.
The alumni Meet has given the
opportunity to the 1/4 students to interact with
the alumni of CSE Dept.

A ”Technical Quiz” was organized by CSI
student members of 3/4 CSE dept under
CSI student Chapter on Oct 16th ,2011 for
the target audience of 2/4 CSE students.
A “CSI Member ship Drive “ was
conducted to encourage the students of
1/4 CSE to take up the CSI member ship
on Nov 2nd ,2011, by the CSI students
committee members of CSE department.
The drive was organized to share the benefits of availing the CSI student membership
were discussed includes opportunity to participate in conferences, guest lectures, workshop
etc. the objective of such events were to covers the emerging trends in technology.

Dr.T.Adilakshmi Prof &HOD,CSE has participated in “Grace Hopper Celebration for
Women In Computing” organized by computer Associates Hyderabad held on July 15th
,2011. The event was focused on the planning and improving women student strength in
computing.
Dr.T.Adilakshmi,Prof &HOD,CSE has attended 2-Day workshop on “Defining Dialogues”
organized by CTS Bangkok Thailand held during July 22nd - 23rd, 2011.
Dr. T. Adilakshmi, Prof.& HOD and CSE V. Sireesha Asst. Prof. CSE has attended a session
on” Process oriented guidance inquiry learning (POGIL)” organized at Enhance EDU,
IIIT, Hyderabad held on Aug 8th, 2011.
Dr.T.Adilakshmi Prof. & HOD, CSE has participated in Conference on Grace Hopper
celebration of Women in Computing India – “What Next” held during Dec 14th – Dec 16th
2011.The conference sessions were delivered by the experts from IBM, Infosys,
Microsoft, Google, Intel for the target audience from eminent education institutions.

the faculty members from reputed Engineering institution held on 5th Dec 2011.
