Student IE Chapter
“Just a Minute” competition in association with IE student
chapter was conducted for B.E. 2/4 CSE students on 25th March,
2015.
The main objective is
 To test their public speaking skills which has a vital role to
play in their upcoming career.
 To provide platform to express their interpersonal skills.
Nearly 20 students participated in the event. Topics were given on
the spot. The speeches were judged by the expertise who awarded
points based on different parameters and selected the winners who
gained highest points.

Koushik, Bala Harika of B.E. 4/4 CSE, won the first prize in
Acumen CS Fest project expo held on March 7th, 2015.
Naveena, Sai Keerthi of B.E. 3/4 CSE, won the first prize for
paper presentation held as a part of Acumen on March 7th, 2015.
Kranthi, Rafeeq of B.E. 4/4 CSE, won the first prize in Geek
Battle held as a part of Acumen on March 7th, 2015.

Guest Lectures Organized:
 A guest lecture on “Mobile Transactions” was delivered by Dr Salman Abdul Moiz, Associate
Professor, HCU for M.Tech CSE students on 31st January, 2015.
 A guest lecture on “Data Mining” was delivered by Dr P Krishna Reddy, Professor, IIIT Hyderabad
for M.Tech CSE students on 23rd January, 2015.
 A guest lecture on “Advanced Operating Systems” was delivered by Ms.Anshika Gupta Data Stage
Developer, IBM India Pvt.Ltd. for M.Tech CSE students on 3rd January, 2015.
 A guest lecture on “Converged Infrastructure Security” was delivered by Mr. Mohammed Imran,
Network Security Engineer, Microsoft for M.Tech CSE students on 28th January, 2015.
 A guest lecture on “Advances in software Engineering” was delivered by Mr G Sunil Kumar, Sr.
Software Engineer Couth Info tech Pvt. Ltd. for M.Tech CSE students on 21st February, 2015.

Software Engineer, Amazon Development Center Hyderabad for M.Tech CSE students on 7th January,
2015.
 A guest lecture on “Machine Learning Techniques” was delivered by Mr Vamshi Krishna, Sr. Test
Lead, Progress Software Pvt Ltd for M.Tech CSE students on 6th February, 2015.
 A guest lecture on “Recent trends and developments in data bases” was delivered by Dr Manish
Singh, Asst Professor, IIT Hyderabad for M.Tech CSE students on 30th April, 2015.
 A guest lecture on “Cyber Forensics” was delivered by Dr. M V Pandu Ranga Rao, Asst Professor,
IIT Hyderabad for M.Tech CSE students on 12th March, 2015.

Accenture on 1st January, 2015 at Hyderabad Office.

Entrepreneurial Orientations in Technical Teaching” held on 7th February, 2015 at Vasavi College of
Engineering.
S Vinay Kumar, Assistant Professor, MSV Sashi kumar, Assistant Professor attended a two day EMC
Academic Summit, 2015 at Hotel Le Meridian and SRM university Chennai organized by EMC 2 on
12th and 13th February, 2015.
