A Seminar on “Development Of TXTWEB Application Using PHP”
(Conducted Under Alumni Activity)
An Alumni event on “How to develop
the Applications using TXTWEB platform
using PHP” was delivered by Mr. Murali
Krishna, Mr. Santosh Kumar, Mr. Varun Garg
and Mr. Sridhar Begari alumni of 2012 on Aug
14th, 2012 in the Seminar Hall, Ramanujan
Block.
The objective of the seminar was to
deliver the basics & steps required for
development of simple TXTWEB applications
followed by the process of hosting the
TXTWEB applications on the web.
The session started with a brief
introduction on what is the TXTWEB platform
and how to deploy applications on it. They
have emphasized on advantages of message
based application and how it is different from
developing standalone & online applications.
The attractiveness of TXTWEB application is
that it can be accessed using a simple SMS
based service. The students were given hands
on experience in developing a sample
TXTWEB application and hosting it on the
web.
They encouraged the students to
participate in APP2Fame Developer challenge
2012 contest to showcase their skills and also
compete for prizes worth of 7.2 lakhs. The
students were indeed motivated to answer
the questions posed to them and the alumni
rewarded them with goodies for the best
answers. The session concluded with a note
by Mr. Murali Krishna to get registered with
www.app2fame.com to get acquainted with
the new technologies & also avail the
opportunity of winning exciting prizes.
