A Report on Seminar on “Qt 4.7”
(Conducted Under CSI Student Chapter)
A Seminar on “Qt 4.7” was delivered
by Mr. Rajeev Kumar, Certified Project
Manager at Wipro Technologies on Sept 1st,
2012 for the target audience of BE 2/4 CSE
organized by CSI students members of 4/4 &
3/4 CSE (A.Anusha ,M.Rohit Reddy, Ananya
Mukherjee and P.Vaishampayan Reddy)
He made student audience to
understand the importance of framework,
how the messages are transmitted between
clients and a server, how the objects access
other objects, the concept of shared memory.
The speaker has discussed about the
Qt creator an application built using Qt SDK.
Steps to be followed for designing and
managing the real time applications. He has
also demonstrated previously developed
applications, which has created an excitement
among the student audience to know the
syntax and coding behind the applications.
The objectives of the seminar were to
motivate the students to develop a strong
grip on basic programming languages and to
convey the importance of developing
applications in them.
The speaker has started the session
by sharing his own personal experiences,
followed by the brief discussion of concepts
related to C & C++ and a special emphasis on
the concepts of Signals and Slots.
The session has proven to be
informative as queries of many students
audience were answered clearly by Mr.
Rajeev Kumar.
The seminar concluded by conveying
the students of 2/4 CSE A & B to work in team
in order to develop the applications using Qt
SDK & to submit the their applications for the
contest to be conducted under CSI events &
activities and grab the opportunity to win a
cash prize ,an official recognition in CSI
Students Chapter of VCE.
