A Report on “ Technical Competitions” conducted under CSI on Occasion of Engineers Day
Celebrations - 2013
(Conducted under –CSI Activity)
We have celebrated Engineers Day on 14th
Sept 2013 in honor of Dr. M. Visvesvaraya , a True
Gem of India and to remember the best of Engineers
we ever had.
The objectives of celebrations of Engineer’s Day
were
• To take a pledge to promote and encourage
the youth to opt for Engineering education.
• To produce quality Engineers for the bright
future of our country.
On the occasion of Engineer’s Day Celebrations
many Technical events were organized in the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering
under CSI in order to inculcate the competitive
spirit among the budding engineers. The
competitions were an open opportunity for all BE
2/4 , 3/4 , 4/4 CSE students and students with the
remarkable performances were awarded with
attractive Cash Prizes.
Technical Essay Writing Competition on
“Windows 8 Vs Android Os” was organized on Aug
22nd ,2013. The competition has witness a decent
number of students participants round 31 in
number. After the careful scrutiny A. Nikhitha,
student of BE 3/4 CSE B has bagged 1st prize and
Lakshmi Vagdevi ,student of BE 4/4 CSE A has
bagged 2nd prize.
A JAM (Just a Minute) session was organized
on Sept 12th,2013. The Session has witness active
participation of 19 students both from BE 2/4 and
3/4 CSE. Varsha Goli student of BE 3/4 CSE B has
bagged 1st Prize and T. Avinash Kumar student of BE
2/4 CSE A has bagged 2nd prize.
A Technical Quiz Competition was organized
on Sept 13th, 2013. Around 90 students have
participated under Technical Quiz Competition.
Round 4-5rounds were conducted to finalize the
winners of the Quiz Competition. The First Team
comprising of K.Narsing Raj , V.Chiranjeevi and
N.Harish kumar , students of BE 2/4 CSE have
bagged 1st prize and Second Team comprising of
I.Deepak, M.Akhil M and G.Santosh Reddy G,
students of BE 3/4 CSE B have bagged 2nd prize.
