On the eve of Engineer’s Day
celebrationsdepartmentofComputerScience
& Engineering have organized Inter
Departmental Technical Essay Writing
Competition on “E-learning vs. classroom
learning” on 12th Sept, 2014 conducted
underIEStudentChapter.
The objective behind conducting Essay
writingCompetitionwerethefollowing
 To provide the platform for students
to show case their general writing
skills.
 To test interpretation skills of
students
 To give them the liberty to express
their views on subject. The
competition has witnessed 67
students participants from all the
department.
The essay topic was announced to the
participants 10 minutes prior to
commencementofthecompetition.
Theinstructionsforwritingthetechnical
essay writing were also conveyed prior to
commencementofthecompetition.
The participants were excited enough as
the topic of competition was of regular
practiceofthestudent’sdaytodaylife.
The essays submitted by participants
were intensely scrutinized and identified the
winnersoftheEssayWritingCompetition.

the First prize for expressing her thoughts
right from puranas and Vedas and clearly
keeping the subject in paces with broad
thoughtsaboutthesubject.
N.Ashwinistudentof2/4CSE–Bwonthe
second prize for organizing the essay with
very clear and broad thoughts on both ways
oflearning.
C.P Anusha student of 2/4 IT ‐B won the
third Prize for expressing the subject in
covering all aspects of learning with their
advantagesanddisadvantages.
All the three winners of essay writing
competition were awarded with cash prizes
on Engineers’ day celebration on 15th Sept
2014.
