Master of Science in Biochemistry
and Molecular Biology| NYC
PREPARE FOR YOUR CAREER IN RESEARCH AND BEYOND
The Master of Science (MS) in biochemistry and molecular biology provides
students with a solid grounding in modern applications of biochemistry and
molecular biology.
Candidates in this program are supported by two strong academic
departments, chemistry and biology, whose faculty members combine
exceptional teaching skills with pioneering published research in their
respective fields, and fully equipped laboratory facilities with innovative
equipment.
Students with a BS in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry, preferably with
experience in physical chemistry, physics and mathematics may enter the
master’s degree program. It is preferred that future MS candidates have had
some research experience in their undergraduate careers.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum is structured to include courses dealing with the operation
and management of a research laboratory that is in high demand with private,
commercial and government research institutions. Graduates of the program
are eligible for employment in the pharmaceutical industry, medical research
laboratory, or many other fields; or may opt for admission into medical or
dental schools, or to continue onto graduate studies for a doctorate.
