General Services Safety & Security
01. Policy
The Security Department Locksmith and Security Coordinators will assist when a door is not
securable as a result of a lock malfunction.
02. Procedure
If a door cannot be secured during normal working hours, contact the Security Office.
The Security Office will contact the University Locksmith who if possible will correct the problem
immediately.
If the locksmith is unavailable to fix the lock immediately, the on duty Security Coordinator can
change the core, temporarily secure the door, or call in the university locksmith on an emergency
call.
