The True Reader - Owen Marshall
In the 2010 Frank Sargeson Memorial Lecture Owen Marshall will set out his view
of the value of reading, to the writer, but also to readers generally, by talking about
his own experience and that of others. Who are the dedicated readers? What do
they seek in the books they love, and are their expectations fulfilled? What is the
relationship of fact to fiction, and what is the relevance of fiction to the real world?
