The goal of our quarterly newsletter is to provide staff and faculty with news and information about Human Resources’ people, programs and events. As a reminder, the FY2015 Performance Management Development Process (PMDP) Review Process and the FY2016 Goal Setting are currently in progress. The FY15 PMDP review and FY16 Goals and Individual Development Plan (IDP) should be completed, approved, and submitted to Human Resources by September 30, 2015. Access the PMDP/Goal Setting System via the Pace Portal or by clicking on this link, and sign in using your Pace username and password. The PMDP system functions only in the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Version 10 and below and Firefox, Version 12.0 and above. Please use these browsers to complete the process. Join the Great American Smokeout on November 19, 2015 Human Resources, in partnership with Cigna HealthCare, supports your effort in the Great American Smokeout. Every year, on the third Thursday of November, smokers across the nation take part in the American Cancer Society Great American Smokeout. They may use the date to make a plan to quit, or plan in advance and then quit smoking that day. The Great American Smokeout event challenges people to stop using tobacco and helps people know about the many tools they can use to help them quit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Human Resources would like to offer another Weight Watchers At Work series. We are hoping to have enough participants in NYC for a series there, too!! Representatives from Weight Watchers will host informational sessions on the following dates: September 29 Pleasantville Campus 12:00pm - 12:30pm Kessel Student Center, Room C/D. October 13 NYC Campus 12:00pm - 12:30pm Outside Cafeteria 12:45pm - 1:15pm Bianco Room (Held during the second half of the Admin Staff Council mtg.) · 12-Week Series $156.00 per member. This price includes free registration and free eTools for each member. Human Resources will pay 10% of your $156.00 registration fee. Your cost would be $140.40. It is payable upfront with cash, check, credit/debit card or three split payments of $46.80 each. · 17 Week Series Plus two free weeks: $186.00 per member. Pace HR gets Certified! Check Us Out at the Job Fairs! Karen Buckwald, Director, HR Initiatives, earned her Compensation Analyst Credential (CAC). The ERI Distance Learning Center's Compensation Analyst Credential (CAC) designation is earned by taking 12 online courses and passing a comprehensive examination in each course. This credential teaches salary planning, compensation design, performance plan comprehension and compensation administration. Ann Courtien, Compensation Analyst, has successfully passed her PHR exam! The Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification demonstrates a mastery of the technical and operational aspects of HR practices and U.S. laws and regulations. There are experience and degree requirements as well as the completion of a computer exam of 175 multiple choices questions in 3 hours. Nydia Delgado, Associate Benefits Representative, passed the SHRM exam and has earned the designation SHRM-CP. The Compensation Committee Certification (CCC) is for professionals who are asked to serve on the boards of for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
