Installing Kurzweil 3000 Web License for Mac

1. Navigate to the Kurzweil 3000 Mac download website, http://www.kurzweiledu.com/k3mac.
2. Select the link labeled Kurzweil 3000 Version 15 (web license). Do not select the standalone version.
3. Once you select the above link, wait for the installer to download.
4. Depending on your browser, the installer will appear on your desktop or in your Downloads folder. Select the
K3000 icon to open the installer.
5. The following window will open. Drag the Kurzweil 3000 icon to your Applications folder to install.
6. After you have installed Kurzweil, navigate back to the website, http://www.kurzweiledu.com/k3mac, and
download the North and South American Voices.

7. Open your Applications folder and select the Kurzweil 3000 program. If you get the following warning, select
Open.
8. You will be asked to log in with your username and password. Students will receive their username and
password at their initial alternative format training. If you have completed the training and do not have a
username and password or are unsure of your username and password, please contact the Office of
