Nurses.
They are the hearts and hands of our health care system.
And they deserve our thanks and recognition.
On November 6, The University of Akron College of Nursing hosted the
third annual Cameos of Caring program to recognize exemplary nurses who
treat patients and families with care, dignity and compassion while demonstrating excellence in nursing care.
The 11 individuals listed above were selected by participating hospitals for
their superb nursing care. Each was honored at the November 6 gala, and
received a crystal statue of a nurse comforting a patient. They represent the
hundreds of nurses throughout the region who daily aid and comfort us, from
our first moments of life to our last.
