SUMMARY SLIDE
• Sensitive skin displays a compromised permeability barrier
• A randomized, double-blind controlled clinical trial was conducted in
60 Chinese females with sensitive skin in outpatient clinic
• Topical barrier enhancing products such as Atoplam® Multi-Lamellar
Emulsion Cream and Physiogel® Intensive Cream improve epidermal
functions, including permeability barrier, stratum hydration and lactic
acid stinging test scores in sensitive skin
• Barrier enhancing products could be a valuable approach for the
management of sensitive skin.
