Keys To An Effective Election Campaign

Building at the corner of Buchtel and Union Streets.
Visitors parking located on Buchtel Ave. between E.J. Thomas Hall and College Streets,
or at the Martin University Center on Fir Hill Street.
Running for School Board and winning is more than just putting your name on the
ballot. Winning the election and having the campaign focus on what you think is
important takes a well organized, efficient campaign.
Come learn about how to create a campaign plan, make wise campaign decisions
and use your campaign resources effectively. Or, come and find out how to help
someone win a School Board election.
As a result of participating in this FREE workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
Get to know and network with other meeting participants and a campaign professional
Learn the basic steps to running a School Board campaign including:
• Developing a campaign plan.
 Becoming an effective candidate.
• Incorporating school issues into your campaign.
• Making decisions in the heat of the campaign.
Have questions answered about effective campaign techniques.
Practice decision making you may encounter in the heat of the campaign.
For those who did not attend the first ABC’s session on Becoming a School Board Candidate,
order forms will be available for the packet of materials and meeting notes from that workshop.
