herewith. All the syllabi is also made available on university website www.unishivaji.ac.in.
Further, it is hereby informed that the question papers on the pre-revised syllabi shall be set for
the examination to be held in October/November 2013 and April/May 2014. These chances are
available for repeater students, if any.

University authorities have granted approval to the inclusion of Term work content in the
syllabi of subject ßProject ManagementÞ Elective 1 at BE CSE and IT (Semester-VII) as
mentioned below.

Project Management (Elective-I:B)
Term Work
Is should consist of minimum 10-12 assignments based on the syllabus, out of which
minimum 3 assignments should be designed to provide practical experience in applying project
management concepts using project management software like IBM Rational Team Concert.
This software is available on Linux, Windows, run also on Mac, mainframe. For more

The approach for the assignments should be :
♦ To learn use of software for managing projects.
♦ To prepare project plan for sample project.
♦ To prepare scope definition and scope statement, Work breakdown structure.
♦ To define activities, mark dependencies to assist in activity sequencing and prepare project
schedule.
The above term work shall come in to effect from the academic year 2013- 14 onwards.
This syllabi is also available on university website www.unishivaji.ac.in.

Univesity authorities have made some minor modification in the syllabus B.E. Information
Technology Semester VII Project Management (Elective-I:B). Since there is no provision of
term work in the existing structure of B.E. (IT) Sem. VII, therefore the term work which was
included in the syllabus of B.E. Information Technology Semester VII Project Management
(Elective-I:B) by the above refered letter has been cancelled.
