I am also Ph.D. guide in the subjects of Agrochemicals - Pest Management and Microbiology of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Professional Achievements: 1. Contributed solely (besides Dr. Agate : Principal Investigator) towards completion of a CSIR project (1980-1983). 2. Completed successfully a Project sponsored by Department of Interiors on microbial silicate degradation mechanisms, USA, as Principal Investigator (1985-1988). 3. Also served as Principal Investigator for 2 consecutive terms for the project ”Up gradation of Research Facilities” at NMIMT, NM, US. (1985-1987). 4. Served as a Unit Manager for a Multi National Pharmaceutical Company: M/s Wander Ltd. wherein besides the routine administrative activities like Production Control & Planning, Procurements & Dispatch of Materials; was supervising the quality control (mostly Microbiological) and helped to reduce rejections from more than 3% to nil. (1988-1992). 5. In Fisheries, Microbiology plays an important role in Quality Control and all foreign standards are mostly microbiological. Therefore, checking spoilage causing microbes and different Pathogenic microbes and preventing their presence was being supervised by me.(1992-1996). 6. Successfully completed a project of setting up of an effluent treatment plant in one of the largest multinational iron ore mining industry for their waste water from the beneficiation plant. The whole process being microbiological with no threat of secondary pollution. (1996- 1999). 7. Lately I served as Vice President for an NABL approved lab in Bangalore, where we redefined the importance of testing of different materials, being the fundamental Units of any products whether it be engineering or food materials and were more precise in carrying out different failure analyses, remnant life assessment, etc. Participated in organizing symposia: 1.
