Scholarship in Finance
The University of Akron Department of Finance is pleased to announce the application period
for the Warther Financial Group, LLC Scholarship in Finance. One $3,000 award will be
used toward tuition and fees for the Fall 201 semester. This award is available to full-time
undergraduate students attending the College of Business Administration, majoring in one of the
Finance degree programs. The recipient must also intend to participate in the Warther internship
program beginning Summer 201.
Mr. Robert W. Warther established the Warther Financial Group, LLC Scholarship in
Finance for students majoring in Finance at The University of Akron’s College of Business
Administration. As founder and president, Mr. Warther leads his dynamic and successful team in
guiding their clients in all aspects of wealth management, protection and transfer. This
prestigious scholarship is made possible by the support of Warther Financial Group, LLC.
Applicant Requirements:

Finance major with a declared interest in an internship with Warther Financial Group,
LLC;
Have completed sixty (60) credit hours as of the spring semester before application
(second semester sophomore); and
Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0.

A one-to-three page double spaced Essay about how this experience will benefit them
and how they will contribute to Warther Financial Group;
Resume and Cover letter;
Official Transcript; and
Application Form.
Once applications have been received, chosen students must complete an interview with
Warther Financial Group, LLC personnel and the Department of Finance Scholarship
Committee.
