To receive an Honors scholarship in any given
semester, a student must be enrolled in a
bachelor's degree program for a minimum of
12 credits. Honors scholarships are renewed
annually, without reapplication, if the student
maintains a sufficient cumulative grade-point
average.

awards -- more than $22 million each year in
scholarship aid. With the largest endowment of
any public university in northern Ohio, UA is
able to give many talented students the chance
to study. Awards range from hundreds of

Cyril W. Neff, P.E., P.S., had a special interest in young
engineers and in helping them get started in their
professional lives. This scholarship is available to
students from Cuyahoga, Lorain, Lake, Geauga, Medina
and Ashtabula counties only, entering Ohio colleges or
the University of Notre Dame.

Scholarships for African American or Hispanic students
who are in their senior year at urban school districts in
the Council of Great City School Districts. There is
more information at www.cgcs.org about the scholarship
itself.

Applicants will be evaluated on "General Criteria" as
well as activities, leadership, work experiences,
membership and activity in professional and technical
societies, honors won, and an evaluation by the
engineering college dean or department chairman.
1st place - $2500, 2nd place - $1500, and

The scholarship is available to full- or part-time
undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an
accredited college or university in North America.
Qualifying majors include: architecture, civil
engineering, structural engineering, construction
management, material science, or a related field.

College Now offsets the high cost of college tuition by
awarding renewable, need-based, last dollar scholarships
to students across Greater Cleveland. College Now
awards $2.3 million in scholarships every year. Nearly
2,000 students and adult learners receive a College Now
scholarship each year.

Melvin M. Bauer, P.E., P.S., had an interest in
promoting the engineering profession to young people
and was himself the recipient of a scholarship that gave
him the impetus he needed to follow his dream of
becoming an engineer. This scholarship is available to
students from Ashland, Richland, Wayne, and Crawford
counties only, entering Ohio Colleges.

This annual scholarship was established in 2009 and
pays tribute to Dr. Paul C. K. Lam who served as the
Ohio Space Grant Consortium Director from 2007-2009.
The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving
underrepresented undergraduate student majoring in
Mechanical Engineering at The University of Akron.

The Raymond H. Fuller, P.E., Memorial Scholarship
was established by his wife, Rhoda M. Fuller, in 1999,
as a tribute to his lifelong accomplishments and his
desire to promote the engineering profession to young
people. Recipients must be accepted for enrollment at an
Ohio college or university.

SWE Scholarships support women pursuing ABETaccredited baccalaureate or graduate programs in
preparation for careers in engineering, engineering
technology and computer science in the United States
and Mexico. In 2012, SWE disbursed 198 new and
renewed scholarships valued at $577,000.

Army ROTC offers two-, three- and four-year
scholarships, which pay full tuition and fees, include a
separate allowance for books, and a monthly stipend of

Air Force ROTC can take your college experience to the
next level while helping you with the rising costs of
education. We have an array of full or partial
scholarships that cover: Tuition and fees, Books and
other expenses, Extra spending money. With a FROTC
scholarship, you’re free to concentrate on your studies
and enjoy college instead of worrying about how to pay
for it.
Membership in Tau Beta Pi enables close interaction
with students of all different engineering disciplines
within your school and also provides opportunities to
interact with faculty members, many of whom are also
Tau Bates. Tau Beta Pi assists more students than any
other engineering organization, awarding more than
$300,000 in scholarships and at least $80,000 in
fellowships each year.
