Health Insurance

Health Insurance
Mandatory Health Insurance
• Health insurance is mandatory for all Pace University
students. All students are automatically charged a fee for
health insurance in their student bills.
• Students may find a copy of the “Pace University International
Student Accident and Sickness Insurance” policy here:
Waivers
• Pace University will consider waiving (removing or refunding) the fee for
Health Insurance only if the student demonstrates coverage under
another insurance policy. That coverage must be determined to be equal
to or better than the coverage provided under the University’s policy.
• Waiver forms are available here as well: http://www.pace.edu/healthinsurance/international-students
Waivers
• When you complete the waiver form please return it to:
The Allen J. Flood Companies, Inc.
Two Madison Avenue
Larchmont, NY 10538
attn: Pace International Student Plan
Please include a copy of your existing insurance policy in English and in U.S.
dollars.
You can also email a copy of the waiver form and policy to [email protected].
*The deadline to submit a waiver application is 5 weeks after the
start of the semester
UnitedHealthcare Student Resources
Website
• Insured students have online access to ID Cards, insurance claims,
explanation of benefits, network providers, etc. by logging in to My
Account at: www.uhcsr.com/myaccount
• Students who have not yet set up their online account should click the
“Create My Account Now” link at the above website, then follow the
onscreen directions to establish an online account using their Pace email
address. After logging in for the first time, they will receive their 7-digit
Insurance ID number.
Insurance ID Cards
• Insurance ID cards are no longer automatically mailed out to students.
Instead, an email notification will be sent to the student when the digital
ID card is available to be downloaded from My Account. An insured
student may also use My Account to request delivery of a permanent ID
card through the mail.
• ID Cards may also be accessed via the mobile site at: my.uhcsr.com
In Case of Emergency
• In case of an emergency, students should go to their nearest hospital or
healthcare location!
• If at all possible, in a non-emergency situation, it is best for students to go
first to Pace University’s Health Care Center.
• If the student is not in the area, it is recommended that the student
search for a healthcare center which is covered by the student’s University
insurance (use the “Search for Provider” function on
https://www.uhcsr.com/pace).
Pace University Health Care Center
• The University Health Care Center is able to provide students with basic
care, as well as to provide referrals if the student requires additional
treatment not offered by the Health Care Center.
• The Health Care Center is located at 41 Park Row on the 3rd Floor and
may be reached by telephone at (212) 346-1600.
