The University of Akron, School of Nursing will host the
Fourteenth Annual Cameos of Caring® Gala, an evening to
honor nurses in Northeast Ohio. The proceeds from Cameos
of Caring will be added to the endowed scholarship fund
established in 2002, which is available to those seeking an
education in nursing. The program has received tremendous
support from the health care community as well as local and
national corporations. The co-presenting hospitals joining
The University of Akron for the 2015 Cameos of Caring Gala
are Summa Health System and Akron General Medical Center.
The participating hospitals include: Akron Children’s Hospital,
Affinity Medical Center, Aultman Hospital, Crystal Clinic
Orthopaedic Center, Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Institute, Mercy
Medical Center, Summa Barberton Hospital, Summa Rehab
Hospital, University Hospitals Portage Medical Center and
Western Reserve Hospital. Each hospital has selected their
Cameos of Caring nurse. The awardees will receive a crystal
statue, an original piece of art, which symbolizes excellence in
nursing care.
