Center for the History of Psychology: Continuing Education Fact Sheet
1. Who is eligible to obtain CE credits through attendance at CHP programming?
The Center for the History of Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to
sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The CHP maintains responsibility for these programs
and their content.
2. What is the cost of CHP continuing education programs?
The cost is $20 per session.
3. How many credits will I receive?
The CHP will award 1 credit for each hour of training. To receive CE credit, participants must sign in and
out of the session, attend the entire session, complete and return an evaluation form for each session,
and pay the registration fee.
4. How do I register for this program?
We recommend that you preregister by completing the attached registration form and returning it to
the Archives of the History of American Psychology by email ([email protected]) or by post:

You may also register onsite half an hour prior to the program, providing that seats are available.
5. Do I have to sign in and out of each session?
Yes, participants must sign in and out of each session in order to receive a certificate of completion.
6. What if I arrive late or need to leave early?
Participants who arrive more than 5 minutes late or leave 5 minutes early from any given session will
not be eligible for CE credit.
7. When will I receive a certificate of completion?
The CHP will send certificates of completion within 4-6 weeks after a given CE program.
8. What if I register for a program and then need to cancel?
Cancellations will be accepted until five business days prior to a seminar. Registrants who cancel within
that time will receive a refund, minus a $10 service fee. Cancellations received after that day will not be
refunded. Cancellations must be made in writing to the CE Administrator at [email protected].
