Charles Sturt University is committed to excellence in complete function and conference service.
Bathurst campus boasts a comprehensive event planning service, a wide variety of function and
conference venues and accommodation styles ranging from student to corporate. Bathurst Campus is
located just over two hours from Sydney, in a lush rural setting at the base of the famous motor racing
circuit – Mount Panorama.
Our event staff are experienced hospitality professionals priding themselves on ensuring every
event is a success for all concerned. We specialise in events and conferences of all sizes from small
business dinners and one day seminars, right through to large conferences with over 500 delegates.
Accommodation is offered in student rooms and the Centre for Professional Development Motel.
Presentations can be conducted in our conference rooms or lecture rooms. We are able to offer a range
of menus and have packages tailored to suit your requirements.

Terms & Conditions
Deposit:
A holding deposit of $500 is required after the 14 day tentative hold is
ended. Nintety (90) days from the function a 50% deposit is required.
Fourteen days out from the function full payment is required for he function.
Beverage consumption on the night will be settled on the night or through
prior arrangements with the Events Coordinator.
Tentative Bookings:
Tentative bookings will be held for 14 days only. Charles Sturt University will
only secure bookings on receipt of a deposit as stated above and signed
terms & conditions. If a deposit is not received within 14 days, we reserve
the right to automatically release the booking.
Cancellation:
Deposit is fully refundable if the function is cancelled three (3) months
before the function date. Deposit will be forfeited if the function is cancelled
within three months of the function date, however, if we are able to rebook the date with a function of similar size within the 3 month period the
deposit will be refunded in full. Notice of cancellation must be in writing
Terms & Conditions:
Menu Selections are to be confirmed fourteen (14) working days prior to
function. The confirmed number of guests is required within fourteen (14)
working days before the event. We will cater and charge for the confirmed
number of guests. Where beverages are charged upon consumption basis,
the account is to be settled on the night.
Catering:
Charles Sturt University reserves the right to supply all catering and
beverage requirements. No external catering shall be permitted.
Surcharge:
A surcharge will apply to any function held on a week-end or Public
Holiday
Accommodation Bookings:
A booking for groups or weddings may be made through Reception
or your Event Co-ordinator Team at time of confirmation. Charles Sturt
University will hold the designated number of rooms for a period no longer
than four (4) weeks prior to the events scheduled date. Any unallocated
rooms from this group booking will be automatically released without
notice.
Accommodation Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation of your accommodation booking, 24 hours
notice is required prior to guest’s arrival. In the event of a failure to notify
Motel Reception, the full room hire charge will be incurred. In the event
that the organiser or client has booked accommodation, they will be billed
directly for the non-arrival of guest(s) for the full room hire charge.
Where group or multiple Motel room bookings have been made, notice
of cancellation must be received at least four (4) weeks prior to the event.
Clients who fail to provide sufficient notice will be subject to a cancellation
fee equivalent to 50% of the total room hire cost.

Charles Sturt University accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of
merchandise or personal articles left in any function room before, during or
after a function.
Misconduct:
Bookings are taken on the understanding that patrons will conduct their
function in an orderly manner and in full compliance with Charles Sturt
University Management direction and all applicable laws. Charles Sturt
University reserves the right, to exclude or eject any person or persons
from a function or premises without liability.
Damage:
The organiser is liable financially for any damage to function room property,
fixtures or fittings whether sustained by their own actions, or through
the actions of their guests. Please note nothing is to be nailed, screwed,
stapled or adhered to the walls, doors or other surfaces, which are part of
the function room.
