What is Slid.es?
Slid.es is a web site that allows you to create beautiful
and simple presentations.
It is a service delivered entirely online which means
that you can create and deliver the presentation using
your desktop web browser, tablet, iPhone or Android
device. All you need is an internet connection.
Why Would You Use It?

How Do You Get Started?
Complete the following steps:
1.Sign up for an account: http://slid.es
2.Click “Get Started” and “Select” a free account.
3.Once you’ve created an account and signed in, click
on the pink Slid.es logo in the top left corner.
4.Click “New Deck”. A deck is Slid.es’ way of describing a group of slides.
5.Click “Settings” on the left hand Sidebar to name
your presentation.
6.Click “Style” on the left hand Sidebar to choose a
color scheme, font and transition.

9.All of the tools you need to edit and modify your
presentation are located at the top of your screen.
This area is called the Text Toolbar. From there, you
can add links, images, change the size of text and
basic formatting.
10.When you click into the actual slide, you will see
one more toolbar appear to the right of the slide.
This is referred to as Slide Options. From here, you
can delete the slide, change the background color,
add background images, and free position objects or
text on the screen.
11.There are four directional arrows in the bottom
right hand corner. This is how you navigate your
presentation while editing and while presenting. To
see the entire layout, press the ESC key on your keyboard. This will show you Overview mode. You can
rearrange your slides from this screen. Press ESC
again to go back into a particular slide.
12.When you are finished designing your presentation, click on the Neon Green button with an eye
on it in the top left hand corner. This is the Present
button.
13.When you’re ready to present this deck, click the
Share button on the Sidebar and either email yourself the link, or sign into Slid.es on whatever device
your presenting from. You can also embed your
presentation into another web site using the code
provided here.

7.Click on the word “Untitled” on the center of your
screen. Type the title of your first slide. Pressing the
Enter/Return key on your keyboard will allow you to
create additional text or bullet points.

click on Settings to name your
presentation.

This is the Slide Options menu.
From here, you can delete this slide,
change the background image or
color, create fragments, or position
elements freely around the slide.
Note: A “Fragment” is a way of
having each word or bullet point
appear one at a time. When you
click the “Create Fragments” button,
you can click on each line of text
in the order that you want them to
appear.
Click on the Plus symbol to
create a new slide.
