What is Qualtrics?
How Can You Get Help?
Qualtrics is the online survey tool at The University of
Akron. It is available for use by all Faculty, Students,
and Staff to support teaching and research. Surveys can
be created and distributed by anyone with a UAnet ID
account.
Qualtrics is a hosted service and provides support to
University of Akron faculty and staff. Call 800-3409194 or send them an email to [email protected].
Why Would You Use It?
Qualtrics offers many user-friendly features such as:
◆◆ Easy survey design with question libraries, pointand-click editing, automatic choices, and question
randomization
◆◆ A comprehensive list of question types
◆◆ Collaboration
◆◆ Polls
◆◆ Distribution & Panel Management
Other key features include:
◆◆ Survey Library with templates that you can customize to meet your specific needs
◆◆ A tool to send and track participation invitations
and reminders
◆◆ A tool to display survey results, graphically and
statistically
◆◆ An export data feature, including to Excel or SPSS

Is There A Mobile App?
Qualtrics does offer a mobile app for iOS. It is not currently supported by UA’s site license.
Completing surveys on a mobile device has been tested
and approved via your device’s web browser.
How Do You Get Training?
Qualtrics offers a Five-Step Program that will teach
you all you need to know to get started. It includes
recorded trainings and survey building activities.
