Start-up Settings
The first time you use Internet Explorer 7 you will be prompted to select a few settings.
The following screens outline the various settings.
1. You are required to choose your default search provider. To see the available list
of search providers select the option “Let me select from a list of search
providers.” Once you click the
button at the bottom of the
page the search providers will be listed. At that point you will select the desired
provider.
2. You can turn on the Phishing filter (recommended). This option will alert you if
the website you are visiting is a phishing site.

3. You can select the ClearType viewer to make the webpage text easier to read.
4. You will want to leave the region and language as English (United States).

6. If you selected the option to view a list of search providers (Step 1) you will
receive a page with a list of the search providers. Select the desired search
provider by clicking on their name.
7. You will be asked to verify that you wish to add the search provider. Click the
button.
