ADDENDUM NUMBER 01 San Juan College Processional Architectural and Engineering Services RFQ #16‐34361 Date: March 11, 2016 Bid Opening Date: March 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. The addendum is hereby made part of the Bid Documents to the same extent as though it were originally included therein. Refer to “Invitation to Bid” form for acknowledgement of addenda. All Bidders are reminded that they shall be familiar with all addenda items (as well as all parts of the bidding document) so as to understand the extent of their work and its interrelation with other trades. To all Bidders for the following contract: Addendum Items: 1. Are you serious about having the renovation to the existing building being LED certified? (IV,A,H) a. LEED certification is a state requirement. 2. What furnishings are required in the existing building? (IV,A,K) a. Required furnishing will be developed during programming. A determination will be made how much existing furniture can be reused and which areas will require new furnishing. 3. Is the Option to include the fire tower warehouse itself or just the HVAC for it “if budget allows”? a. The fire tower warehouse will be built if budget allows. 4. What are you requesting for a “facility operational cost” estimate? Please describe or provide example: a. The facility operational coast estimate will be developed in the design upgrades. Estimate of facility utility usage. 5. Are you requesting that we prepare plans and specifications with the proposal? (IV,A,A) a. Plans and specification will be developed with the owner after and design team has been selected. The design professional fee should include these services. 6. Is the total Budget for both portions of this RFP, the building renovation and the fire tower/warehouse $1,680,000.00 MACC? a. Yes 7. Since Kelly Jernigan is assisting San Juan College on this project, I assume that FBT Architects is not allowed to submit a proposal as she works for them? a. That is correct, FBT will not be submitting a proposal on this project. 8. What does “Reserved” mean and do we need to respond to those sections? I noticed its use on the following pages: ii) IV.C. “2. RESERVED”, b.b.7.”C.2 Reserved” 20) 1. Technical Proposal: F. “6. Reserved” 25) L. “2. RESERVED” 27) B. 7. “C.2. Reserved” a.
