Business Challlenges
Founded in 1991, Heshan Astros Printing Ltd is a Hong Kong wholly-owned company.
Following more than 20 years of steady operations, Astros has now developed itself into
a leading provider of total printing service solutions in the world. Astros boasts advanced
production technologies and powerful production capacities, and can comprehensively
print, process, and make paper products of all kinds. Its products are widely sold in
Europe, the United States, Australia, Asia, and other parts of the world.
Complicated network devices, making monitoring difficult
Following more than 20 years of development, the Astros enterprise network has grown
to a large scale. However, due to different equipment models and significant gaps
between purchases, Astros cannot easily collect information on the status of its network
equipment. Potential risks also increase as a result, which has brought pressure from
daily network operations to the Astros IT department.
Around-the-clock network operations and high stability requirements
Because Astros serves customers worldwide, its production workshops need to operate
around the clock. Consequently, the company requires higher network reliability than
ordinary enterprises. The primary task of IT information for Astros is to help ensure
efficient and stable network operations. The new challenge facing the Astros IT
Department is how to know exactly what the network status is, improve the visual
management of network performance, and ensure network security and stability through
continuous monitoring and regular evaluation.
Difficult network asset lifecycle management
The network plays a vital role in business development for Astros. In addition to daily
network operations, the IT Department must also grasp the latest network information
and make full preparations for network and business expansion. Therefore, an important
task for the IT Department is how to promptly know the lifecycle of network equipment
and applications, obtain resources for network equipment updates in real time, and
improve IT asset management.

of network fault screening work, thus supporting network system reliability and providing
a reference basis for future information system building.
Proactive smart response and risk warnings
Based on the network equipment indicators provided by Cisco Smart Care , Systec’s
WarmCare can provide operating status reports on all equipment, identify network risks
in advance, and put forward coping measures. The reports provided by WarmCare can
