Guidelines:

Must enrol in at least 1 paper in each component each year, unless the requirements of one of the component degrees have already been completed.

No cross-credits to another University of Waikato qualification, and no credits from a completed qualification to a conjoint degree.

Can be taken conjoined with: BCMS, BCS, BMS, BSc, BTchg (Primary), BTchg (Secondary), BTour, LLB
BA or BSocSc Component

Degree consists of 270 points, including 180 above 100 level and 60 above 200 level.

Major consists of at least 120 points above 100 level, including at least 60 points above 200 level. The 120 points for the major must include any compulsory
papers.

Supporting Subject consists of a minimum of 70 points, including at least 40 points above 100 level. A second major fulfils the requirement of a supporting
subject.

Degree may include up to 60 points from subjects outside the field.

When a second major is taken outside the field, the degree may include up to 120 points outside the field.

BSocSc must also include 35 points from the methodology papers listed for the degree.

BA must also include 30pts from the following papers - 15pts from list A - 15 pts from list B.
