The discipline of emergency management continues to evolve. Emergency management is becoming more complex and there
is a demand for well-educated individuals in both the private and public sectors.
These courses provide emergency management foundations which can be applied to many careers including but not limited to :
crisis management, business continuity, health services, public administration, political science, geography, homeland security,
communications, and computer information systems or related areas. The courses offered provide emergency management
skills useful in many careers whether as a student or a practitioner looking to expand their knowledge. The granting of this
certificate does not require completion of a degree.
The following courses constitute a “Certificate in Emergency Management” and must be completed with a minimum grade point
average of 2.0 over-all for the certificate to be noted on the student’s record.
