This guide was prepared to assist prospective students considering a degree from the University of Akron, College
of Business Administration. The equivalencies listed below are only for business and pre business courses all
General Education requirements are evaluated through University College and the Transfer Center. The College of
Business reserves the right to adjust course equivalencies through yearly review of the curriculum. Once a student
has been admitted to the University a formal review of transfer work will be done based on the curriculum

A minimum of half of their business requirements in the CBA;
A minimum of 14 credits in their major in CBA;
ALL transfer/transient courses must be a “C” or better to receive credit;
No upper level (300/400) courses are applicable as direct course
equivalencies per this guide.
