Career Connect is an online, self-guided career and educational planning program that will help you explore and make
decisions about your career goals and major area of study. The program will also help you determine what programs are
available here at SJC to get you started on the right path to the career of your dreams. After initial log-in we recommend
that you begin by taking all 5 assessments in the ‘Self Assessment’ category. Completion time will vary by student, but
expect to take 1-2 hours to complete all 5 assessments.

‘Self-Assessment’ is a recommended place to start, as well as ‘Career Readiness’. Assessment results show
occupation and degrees that match your profile results.
You can research any career by name or industry. You can also compare two careers side-by-side.
Each career has a career overview, skills, values, outlooks, earnings etc. Click on ‘Interest Profile’ when looking
at individual careers to see how well your interest levels match the career you are viewing.
You are able to save careers you are interested in as you feel fit, and refer back to them in your portfolio.
Under ‘Explore the Possibilities’ go to ‘What can I do with a major in….at San Juan College’ so see what degrees
and certificates SJC has to offer that fit your field of interest.
